Admission Registration

Text Box: Admission Policy The Preschool is open to all children of the community, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry. The child must be 2 yrs, 9 months old at the beginning of the school year and must be toilet-trained. The Director will make all initial admission and placement decisions in consultation with the teaching staff. First preference for admission will be given children attending the Preschool, their siblings and CPC members. New student admission will be on a first-contact basis and will consider gender balance in admission offering. Determination of a child’s readiness, but not acceptance, to enter the Preschool may be made by an interview between the Director and the parent. The final determination of the child’s acceptance into the program shall be based on a joint evaluation by the parent and the Preschool staff of the child’s adjustment. Factors which will be considered are: 1. The child’s feeling of belonging in the Preschool. 2. Maintenance of physical health. 3. Happy adjustment to other children. 4. Growing security in the knowledge that the child’s parent will return for him/her. 5. Increasing ability to separate from his/her parent. The best interest of the child and the Preschool group shall be the factor in admissions. Continuation in school shall be determined by periodic reviews and conferences. F. A program orientation for parents will be conducted prior to admission to the Preschool. Registration There will be a non-refundable annual registration fee of $60.00 for continuing students and $80.00 for new students, payable at the time the child is enrolled in school. New student registration fee includes a preschool T-shirt, delivered after school begins. Preschool registration will be in March of each year.
