Special EventsRounded Rectangle: Part of our learning environment includes an opportunity for the children to have fresh air and exercise on a daily basis weather permitting. Our playground is fully equipped and has an area for the children to run, ride bikes, and offers the children socialization opportunities. It is fenced for safety and always supervised.
Rounded Rectangle: During Activity Centers the children are free to move from room to room, choosing activities they wish to use. Art and music activities are an important part of our program also, and are offered daily. Our regular schedule is flexible to accommodate for special classroom events, small group activities, pastor visits, and monthly fire drills.
Rounded Rectangle: CPP offers children the opportunity to participate in events that help educate and broaden the spectrum of their learning.
Rounded Rectangle: Children are welcome to dress in the favorite costume and celebrate by trick-or-treating around the church grounds and meeting back in the classroom for classroom parties.
Rounded Rectangle: All classes gather together in McMillan Hall for a grand Thanksgiving feast.
Rounded Rectangle: Mothers Day tea takes place in each classroom. It is a chance for the children to thank their mothers for all they do. They sing songs, serve a special snack they have prepared themselves, and present their mothers with a special gift.
Rounded Rectangle: An ice cream social event for the whole family. Children are encouraged to introduce their families to their new friends and teachers. This takes place on the school play yard and is fun for all.
Rounded Rectangle: The annual Christmas Pageant is the unforgettable tale of Mary and Joseph and the birth of the baby, Jesus. Complete with angels, shepherds, and even sheep—everyone has a part and everyone sings!
Rounded Rectangle: During “P” week we have the special treat of wearing our pj’s to school and having a pancake breakfast all morning long. In each classroom there are special “P” activities: pickle tasting, play-dough play, potato print painting, puppets, and popcorn and movies! The children love showing off their favorite pajamas and sharing breakfast with their friends!
Rounded Rectangle: CPP’s Spring Sing is a music performance put on every year by the children. Not only is this an exciting performance by all of the children, but also our biggest fund raiser during the school year. The children’s performance is followed by a pasta dinner and silent auction/raffle to raise money for the preschool.
Rounded Rectangle: At the end of the school year we all gather together for a potluck style picnic at a local park. The children get a chance to hang out with old friends, say their goodbye’ and “see you next years.”. A great end to a wonderful school year.
Rounded Rectangle: Mud Day is just what it sounds like. A day filled with mud, kids, mud, fun, mud, and more mud. The kids dress in their grubbies or swim shorts and enjoy a day filled with water and mud. What could be better?!
